Lucian MacLeod purchased The Alibi Bar along with the Alibi Harbor & Marina from his father in 2006. The building is a renovated 1800s fur warehouse consisting of two floors. The front half of the ground floor was converted into a roadhouse-style bar and diner. The back half serves as the offices for Storm Shelter Air & Rescue. The upper floor is Lucian MacLeod's apartment.
The Alibi features live bands on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On the remaining days, Lucian MacLeod performs some of his music. When Lucian isn't available, the stage is opened up for amateur comedy, karaoke, open mic-nights, and trivia contests. The dance floor is always open although the music might be supplied by the juke box.
Along with the best steaks in the region, the menu offers smoked brisket and barbecue, and fresh wild-caught salmon. The portions are generous and prepared to perfection. The Alibi offers handcrafted beer and soft drinks as well as the usual array of alcoholic beverages.
The Alibi caters to a casual clientele. Dressing up generally means the blue jeans are clean and there’s no manure on the boots.
